In the village of Komatikondapur in Ibrahimpatnam mandal, a tragic incident occurred on Monday night. A pack of street dogs allegedly attacked a flock of sheep that were left in a shed by their owner, Danaveni Mallaiah. The attack resulted in the death of 19 sheep, with an additional four sheep being injured.
Local residents were shocked by the incident and Mallaiah immediately reported the matter to the animal husbandry officials. In response, veterinary doctor Srinivas Reddy visited the site and provided medical attention to the injured sheep.
The attack has raised concerns about the safety of livestock in the area and the potential danger posed by stray dogs. Residents are urging authorities to take action to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
It is important for pet owners to ensure that their animals are properly trained and supervised to prevent them from causing harm to other animals or humans. Additionally, efforts should be made to control the population of stray dogs through measures such as sterilization and adoption programs. By taking these steps, we can help prevent tragedies like this from happening again.
