The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has issued a public notice announcing a 24-hour water supply disruption in several parts of the city. The disruption will occur due to junction works being carried out on the 1500 mm diameter MS Gravity Main of the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project Phase-III, Ring Main-I. These works are necessary to facilitate box drain construction activities being undertaken by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) at Bandlaguda X Road.
The scheduled maintenance work will begin on Saturday, 29th August 2026 at 10:00 AM and continue until Sunday, 30th August 2026 at 10:00 AM. During this 24-hour period, residents in affected areas can expect either complete water supply disruption or significantly reduced water pressure. The board has confirmed that areas under the Krishna Phase-III, Ring Main-I command reservoirs will experience the most significant impact.
A comprehensive list of areas likely to face water supply issues includes Shastripuram, Bandlaguda, Shamshabad, Madhuban, Durganagar, Suleman Nagar, PDP, Golden Heights, Attapur, Kismatpur, 9 Number, Allabanda, Bhojagutta, Gandhanguda, Prasannanagar, Jubilee Hills, Tattikhana, Gachibowli, Madhapur, and Shaikpet.
