Hyderabad: On Monday, a special training session for 629 Mandal Educational Officers (MEOs) began. This three-day event focuses on leadership, monitoring, and departmental duties.

EV Narsimha Reddy, the Director of the School Education Department, highlighted the importance of MEOs in school development. He urged them to visit schools regularly and work on boosting student learning. Unlike before, every mandal now has its own MEO, which should help enhance public confidence in government schools.

Under the Badi Bata (School Enrollment Drive), each MEO is tasked with creating a plan to raise student enrollment in their area. A senior officer noted that 94,794 teachers have been trained in the first two phases through 866 centers across districts and mandals.
