Hyderabad, February 15, 2026: The sixth edition of the Zydus Pinkathon Hyderabad witnessed participation from over 5,000 women at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, on Sunday morning. The event began at 5:30 am, with participants gathering for multiple race categories including the Raghu Vamsi 3 km, Lifelong 5 km, and 10 km races, alongside ultra-distance categories. The diverse field included first-time runners, working professionals, senior citizens, and experienced endurance athletes.
The Hyderabad leg featured ultra categories of 50 km, 75 km, 100 km, and a 100 km relay, conducted under the Invincible Women platform. The significant participation in these endurance formats indicates the growing popularity of ultra-running among women across India. The event showcased the increasing comfort level of women in choosing fitness activities regardless of their backgrounds.
In the timed race categories, Amala Kalapala emerged victorious in the 3 km race with a time of 19:10. Mounika Kalapala secured the first position in the 5 km category, completing the distance in 27:32. The 10 km title was claimed by Vadde Navya, who crossed the finish line in 49:59, marking a competitive morning across all distances.
Milind Soman, Founder of Pinkathon, stated after the event that what stands out in Hyderabad is the comfort with which women are choosing to participate. He noted that whether running in sportswear or traditional attire, the decision to show up and prioritise health is what truly matters. He emphasized that seeing thousands gather at sunrise, many for their first organised run, reflects how participation is becoming more normalised across communities.
The event continued Pinkathon’s engagement with preventive health awareness alongside Title Partner Zydus Lifesciences. Through its Easiest Exam campaign, Zydus encourages women to adopt a simple three-minute self-breast examination as a regular health habit. This message gains particular relevance in urban centres where lifestyle-related health risks are increasing.
Ankita Konwar, Founder of Invincible Women, highlighted that each year brings greater consistency. She noted that women are not just participating once but returning, increasing distances, and setting new personal benchmarks. The ultra-categories in particular reflect how endurance running is steadily becoming part of the larger fitness conversation among women.
Dr. Keyur Parekh, President – BU Biologics & Strategy Head at Zydus Lifesciences, said their continued association with Zydus Pinkathon reflects their belief that preventive healthcare conversations must extend beyond clinics and hospitals. He stated that Zydus is committed to women’s health and the Easiest Exam campaign is dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness while promoting early detection. He added that when thousands of women engage in a shared fitness platform, it creates meaningful opportunities to build awareness around long-term well-being.
The event received support from a comprehensive partner ecosystem led by Zydus as the Title Partner. Support came from the Government of Telangana, Lotus Herbals, Raghuvamsi, Lifelong, Sirona, and Park Hyatt. Healthcare and wellness were reinforced through Fujifilm, with support from SAI and FIT India. The Zydus Pinkathon will next head to Delhi on March 8, followed by Pune on April 5. Founded in 2012, Pinkathon has grown into one of India’s largest women’s running platforms.
