In Hyderabad, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is focusing on six irrigation projects in the Godavari basin to improve irrigation infrastructure in the state. The government aims to complete these projects by March 2025 to cover more land with less spending.

The six projects include Neelam Vagu, Pimpri Project, Palem Vagu, Mattadi Vagu, SRSP Stage 2, and Sadarmat Project. The estimates for completing these projects have already been prepared, costing around Rs 241 crore and bringing 48,000 acres under new irrigation. Funds are being released gradually to ensure the projects are finished on time.

These projects were started by the previous government but were left incomplete, with only barrages and pumphouses constructed. Main canals and other infrastructure necessary for irrigation were neglected. The focus had shifted to the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, leaving many projects unfinished.
