BJP Telangana Slams Rahul Gandhi for His Remarks at Bharat Summit

Hyderabad: The BJP Telangana has sharply criticized Rahul Gandhi for his recent statements during the Bharat Summit on Saturday.

During the event, Rahul Gandhi said that opposition voices are being “trapped and isolated” under the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.

Responding to these claims, NV Subhash, the BJP State chief spokesperson and media in-charge, said that Rahul’s words show a poor understanding of democracy. He also said that Rahul should reflect on the Congress party’s history in Parliament.

Subhash questioned Rahul Gandhi, asking, “Why do you feel isolated? What actions have led to these feelings? Isn’t it time for you and your allies to think seriously about your commitment to the nation?”

He reminded Rahul about respected BJP leaders like the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, LK Advani, Arun Jaitley, and Sushma Swaraj. Even when in opposition, they always respected Parliament and worked for national interest, Subhash said.

Subhash gave an example where Vajpayee praised then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, showing true leadership that put the nation first.

He compared that leadership style with today’s Congress party, saying Rahul should think about why his party supports figures like Robert Vadra, who recently made insensitive remarks after the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

“While the nation mourns the death of 26 innocent people, Vadra’s comments linking the tragedy to street prayer restrictions are highly irresponsible and shameful,” Subhash said.

The BJP leader also questioned why the state government is hosting investment summits when the country is grieving such a major terror attack.

Subhash said that Rahul Gandhi’s claims about an environment of “fear, anger, and hatred” are just tactics to hide the Congress party’s failures. He added, “Instead of playing the victim, the Congress should think about why it is losing credibility and how it is becoming disconnected from the people of New India.”

The BJP Telangana ended by reaffirming its commitment to open dialogue, building consensus, and protecting the democratic fabric of the nation. They also promised strong action against any forces that threaten India’s unity and security.
