Hyderabad: Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Vivek Venkatswamy, together with HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath and GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan, examined areas hit by floods in Krishnanagar, Jubilee Hills.
They discovered a problematic drainage channel causing the flooding. The officials instructed the SNDP team to enhance the drainage system.
The ministers spoke with residents to learn about their difficulties. Minister Ponnam highlighted that flooding in Krishnanagar results in excessive water, making roads unusable. He assured that a detailed action plan will be put into place. This plan includes completing both open and underground drainage systems to prevent future issues.
They also toured OU Colony in the Jubilee Hills area. GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan updated the ministers on development projects in the Shaikpet Division.
The ministers briefed local leaders about ongoing projects and upcoming needs following the recent heavy rains.
