Ponnam Prabhakar, the minister in charge of Hyderabad, is optimistic about the Congress party winning the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election. He believes the party can repeat its success from the recent Secunderabad Cantonment election and highlighted the government’s focus on welfare and development.
On Saturday, Prabhakar launched several development projects in the Jubilee Hills area. He announced the start of construction for CC roads and a community hall in the Erragadda division, with a budget of about Rs 2.16 lakh. Plans for renovating sewerage canals, costing around ₹54 lakh, and creating a new park for local residents were also shared.
Prabhakar directed officials to include walking tracks and play areas for children in the park. He emphasized solving drinking water and sanitation issues in the locality.
He mentioned that over 60,000 new ration cards have been distributed in Hyderabad. Residents also benefit from 200 units of free electricity and gas cylinders priced at Rs 500. He criticized those trying to gain votes through sympathy, insisting that the community will appreciate the government’s tangible development efforts.
Prabhakar reiterated that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is dedicated to Jubilee Hills’ progress. He urged voters to choose the Congress party in the by-election, citing initiatives like distributing double bedroom houses and offering free bus services for women by the RTC.
