Nagar Kurnool: The Amrabad Forest Division celebrated the 71st World Wildlife Week with enthusiasm. On Monday, the team organized a bike rally and a cleanliness drive to highlight the importance of wildlife conservation and environmental protection.
The rally began at the Mannanur Checkpost and ended at the Dhurvasula Checkpost. The goal was to educate people about the need to protect wildlife. After the rally, participants focused on cleaning the area from Dhurvasula Checkpost to the Farahabad Base Camp to support ecological balance.
Officials planned more activities as part of the Wildlife Week. These include essay writing, drawing competitions, and a wildlife safari for students to engage them in conservation efforts.
Divisional Forest Officer Ramamurthy and staff from the Amrabad, Mannanur, and Maddimadugu ranges actively took part. They stressed the importance of community involvement in wildlife and environmental conservation.
