Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has decided to ease property registration hurdles for owners in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana. The decision covers properties built on land listed under Section 22A, subject to valid building approval.
Under the move, eligible properties can be registered if their building plans have approval from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) or the Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP).
Property owners have faced difficulties registering buildings even when they had obtained building approvals. The decision provides a route to registration for owners whose properties meet the stated approval condition.
The measure applies to properties on land included in the Section 22A list. Owners will need to meet the requirement for valid approval from one of the named planning authorities to qualify under the decision.
The stated condition for registration is valid building approval from GHMC, HMDA or DTCP for the property.
