HMDA and HGCEL officials have begun field surveys for the expansion of five Master Plan roads in Gandipet Mandal, covering areas including Manikonda, Kokapet and Narsingi. The surveys are checking road alignments and the houses and plots that may be affected.
On the Kokapet Pipeline Road, officials are surveying the stretch from CBIT, through Kokapet village, to the Outer Ring Road (ORR). The proposed expansion would widen the existing 30–40-foot road to 100 feet. The survey has been underway for four days, with teams counting affected houses and vacant plots.
The proposed Allu Studio route would run 100 feet wide from the service road through Westend Meadows Colony to the studio, then connect to Kokapet crossroads. Work on the route is currently halted following objections from local residents. The studio management has gifted a half-acre deed to the municipality for the road.
A proposed Hare Krishna Temple link road would run alongside the Kokapet nala from Narsingi Vijeta Super Market. The plan calls for a road width of 60 to 80 feet and remains at the proposal stage. Land acquisition and removal of encroachments are to follow the survey.
Officials are also surveying the Shaikpet–ORR link road, which follows a pipeline route through Manikonda, Puppalguda and Narsingi. The survey includes the road on both sides of the Gandipet culvert.
On the Radial Road from the Narsingi ORR rotary to Royal Function Hall, the proposed width is being increased from 100 feet to 120 feet. A land acquisition notification has been issued, the period for receiving objections has concluded, and a marking survey is underway.
