A.K. Khan Inaugurates Restored Nizam Museum in Hyderabad

Advisor to Telangana Government for Minority Affairs, A K Khan, recently inaugurated a restored part of the Nizam’s Museum in Hyderabad. This section of the museum displays the wardrobe of the VIth Nizam of Hyderabad, Nawab Mir Mahbub Ali Khan Bahadur. The inauguration took place on the 90th birth anniversary of the Late HEH Mukarram Jah Bahadur, VIIIth Nizam of Hyderabad. The Nizam’s wardrobe is considered the largest in the world.

The Nizam’s Museum is located in the Purani Haveli Palace and showcases a unique collection of artifacts from the Nizam’s era. Among the exhibits are the Nizam’s perfumes, the world’s largest natural pearl, a walk-in wardrobe, a collection of coins, silver models, swords, letter scrolls and boxes, and gifts given to the Nizams.

During the inauguration, A K Khan praised the Nizams and their commitment to education in Hyderabad. He commended the early establishments of Hyderabad State for prioritizing education.

Several dignitaries were present at the event, including A Shyam Mohan, Chairman of Forum for Democracy and Global Peace, and Trustees of Mukarram Jah Trust for Education and Learning M A Faiz Khan and Faiz Bin Jung.

On Founder’s day celebrations organized by the Trust at Musrath Mahal in Purani Haveli, Faiz Khan highlighted the school’s accomplishments, including being ranked as the number 1 school in India for two consecutive years in the Budget School Category by Education World. He also emphasized Prince Mukarram Jah Bahadur’s dedication to education and his contribution of personal properties for educational purposes.

Prince Mukarram Jah Bahadur’s vision for providing infrastructure for education in Hyderabad was appreciated by all, as it demonstrated his love and care for the people of Hyderabad until the end of his life.
