Agricultural officials and police in Nagarkurnool district conducted checks to identify fake seeds. The mandal agriculture officer inspected several businesses in Bijinapally mandal. Samples of seeds like cotton and sorghum were taken for testing at a lab in Malakpet. CCS CI Shankar also participated in the inspections.

The officer warned that strict action will be taken against anyone selling fake seeds to farmers. The inspections were carried out at Shri Bhagyalakshmi Agencies Additional Agro Rythu Seva Kendra, Young Pharmacy Rural Development Society, and Kanakadurga Agencies in Mandal Centre. Kanakadurga Agencies SL and Traders were also inspected under CCS CI Shankar.

The goal of these checks is to ensure that farmers receive quality seeds for their crops. By testing samples in a lab, officials can verify the authenticity of the seeds being sold. This helps protect farmers from purchasing counterfeit or substandard seeds that could harm their crops.
