Hyderabad saw festivities begin at Darussalam as the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), led by Asaduddin Owaisi, marked its foundation day on Saturday, February 14.
This year, “Darussalam Day” was celebrated earlier than usual. Traditionally held on March 2, the date was moved up due to the upcoming holy month of Ramzan, expected to start on February 19.
The AIMIM is celebrating its 68th foundation day. Asaduddin Owaisi, the party president, raised the party flag at the central office. He was joined by his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi, who is the Floor Leader in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, along with other leaders.
During the event, Owaisi honored Imtiaz Jaleel, the party president for Maharashtra, by giving him a memento.
