Aleru MLA in Telangana fined Rs 10k by High Court in election affidavit case

The Telangana High Court in Hyderabad expressed anger towards Aleru MLA Gongidi Sunita Mahender Reddy for not filing a counter in a case against her. The Court imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 and ordered her to file the counter by October 3.

The case was filed in the High Court regarding false information included in the affidavit filed by Gongidi Sunita Mahender Reddy during the 2018 elections. Boreddy Ayodhya Reddy of Aleru was also involved in this case. Satish Kumar approached the High Court claiming that Sunita’s assets were not properly shown and that her election was invalid.

During the hearing on Tuesday, the High Court expressed anger towards the MLA for not filing a counter. As a result, the Court fined her and postponed the hearing of the case to October 3.
