Baby girl saved from bushes in Suryapet

A newborn baby girl was found in bushes filled with thorns in Nemmikal village of Atmakuru mandal, Suryapet district. The baby was heard crying by the locals near the church in SC Colony. The thorns scratched the baby and she was bleeding. The locals rescued the baby and cleaned her. The police and ICDS officials were informed and they took the baby to the hospital for medical treatment. The police believe that the parents may have abandoned the baby because she is a girl. They have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
