Nandamuri Balakrishna has donated about 862.77 square yards from his residence to the government for road expansion around KBR Park.
Balakrishna gave the land without seeking monetary compensation, according to the information about the donation.
The land transfer comes as a campaign circulates claiming that some prominent figures are opposing development projects and flyover works because their properties could be affected.
Balakrishna’s residence was allotted to him by N. T. Rama Rao (NTR) in 1982. NTR held several important meetings at the house.
Balakrishna is also constructing another house in Jubilee Hills. Information about a possible move there has not been confirmed.
The land donated for the road expansion measures approximately 862.77 square yards, and Balakrishna has not taken monetary compensation for it.
