The Balapur Vinayak Laddu auction is about to begin, creating excitement over who will win the famous Balapur Laddu this year. Early today, organizers held special prayers for Balapur Ganesha. After the prayers, a procession led by the Utsava Samiti moved through the village. The auction will follow in Bodrai village once the procession ends.
The auction, which started in 1994 with a starting bid of just 450 rupees, has grown significantly. Last year, Kolan Shankar Reddy set a record with a bid of 30,001,000 rupees. This event is well-known not only in Telangana but also internationally.
Local authorities have prepared extensively for the event. Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Sudheer Babu announced that 550 personnel will ensure security during the auction. Barriers will be in place to manage the expected number of devotees. Thorough security plans are in place, especially for the procession in Balapur. Police, including those from the Lander Police, Traffic, and She teams, will be in plain clothes to ensure everything goes smoothly. The Command and Control Centre will monitor the festivities to maintain safety and order during this much-anticipated event.
