On Friday, State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar stated that only the BJP can fulfil the aspirations of Telangana’s people who fought for the formation of the state nine years ago. He mentioned that Telangana has suffered under the corrupt regime of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Kumar questioned why there were still tears and hardships in the state if it had become a golden state.

The late Sushma Swaraj had taken up the cause of separate Telangana, and the BJP passed a resolution for two states-one vote at its Kakinada conclave and supported the Telangana Bill in Parliament.
