Before Eid, Hyderabad's City Idgahs have been given a makeover.

Ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Telangana State Wakf Board and various government departments visited Idgahs in Hyderabad to ensure smooth arrangements for congregational prayers. The GHMC, HMWS&SB, TSRTC officials, and local police met to streamline arrangements. Funds were sanctioned by the Telangana State Wakf Board and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation for work at the Idgahs. Renovations at the 15th-century Eidgah located in the Qutub Shahi necropolis are also nearly complete.

The GHMC is responsible for leveling uneven paths and grounds while taking care of sanitation and roads. HMWS&SB will provide drinking water and water for ablution purposes. TSRTC will run special bus services to Idgah Mir Alam, and the electricity wing of GHMC will illuminate all Idgah premises. The Minority Welfare department in coordination with other government departments is working to ensure a smooth conduct of congregational prayers.

At Eidgah Mir Alam, around 2 lakh people attend Eid-ul-Fitr prayers. AIMIM party MLAs Mohammed Moazzam Khan, and Kausar Mohiuddin were present during the inspection. Arrangements were also made at Idgah Balamrai at Secunderabad, Idgah Pahadishareef, Eidgah LB Nagar, and Eidgah Masab Tank.
