Liquor shops in villages of Rangareddy district are staying open during the Holi festival, breaking government rules. Belt shop owners are selling alcohol at high prices, taking advantage of the demand.

These shops, operating without permits, are getting alcohol from local stores and selling it from morning until midnight. People are hiding alcohol in their homes and some grocery stores are selling it secretly as essential items.

The easy access to alcohol and lack of regulation is causing concerns, especially among the youth who are becoming addicted. Despite complaints, authorities have not stopped the spread of belt shops, leading to calls for action.
