The Deputy CM discussed these issues during a Pre-Budget meeting with officials from the SC, ST, BC, and Minority Welfare departments at the Dr BR Ambedkar Secretariat on Friday.

Bhatti Vikramarka criticized the previous government for neglecting self-employment schemes for SC and ST youth. To address this, he ordered officials to implement self-employment programs within two months, with a budget of ₹3,000 crore. He also asked them to prepare detailed plans for these schemes.

Additionally, he urged officials to coordinate with ministers, MLAs, and senior officers for regular visits to welfare hostels and residential schools. A schedule for these visits should be prepared in advance, and reminders should be sent to ensure their participation.

The Deputy CM also suggested repairing non-functional lift irrigation schemes in SC and ST areas to improve livelihoods. He assured welfare officials that the government is ready to implement any measures that benefit weaker sections.
