In Hyderabad, eight corporators from Meerpet municipality in Maheshwaram constituency joined the BJP party on Wednesday. Four of them were from the Congress party and four were from BRS. They supported Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, the BJP candidate for the Chevella Parliament constituency. The joining ceremony took place at Reddy’s residence in the presence of Boka Narasimha Reddy, the party’s Ranga Reddy district president.

Vishweshwar Reddy expressed his confidence in Narendra Modi becoming the next Prime Minister. He highlighted the clear leadership of Modi as a key factor attracting leaders and supporters from Opposition parties towards the BJP. The lack of a clear contender from the Opposition has caused this shift in many places, including Telangana.

The addition of these eight corporators from Meerpet municipality has made the BJP the largest party in the area, which has approximately one lakh votes. Vishweshwar Reddy noted a trend of leaders from Congress and BRS aligning themselves with the BJP as the election date approaches. This shift is attributed to Modi’s effective governance and the influence of voters advocating for their leaders to join the BJP.

He assured that the BJP will push the government to fulfill its promises and bring positive change to their communities.
