The President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) and Member of Parliament A Revanth Reddy expressed his happiness over the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) loss in the Karnataka Assembly elections. He said that Bajrangbali defeated the BJP, which deceived Lord Rama. Revanth Reddy, along with other senior leaders, held a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Saturday. He stated that the results were a clear indication of the strength of thousands supporting the Congress, and it was a defeat for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He asserted that the BJP has no place in South India as people have rejected it.

Responding to IT Minister KT Rama Rao’s tweet that Karnataka’s results would not affect the Telangana Assembly elections, Revanth Reddy compared it to the remarks of a terminal cancer patient. He argued that there was no significant difference between BJP and BRS. He reiterated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao supported PM Modi on multiple occasions, and he never campaigned to defeat the BJP in Karnataka elections.

Revanth Reddy stated that just like in Karnataka, Telangana also has a 40 per cent commission government. He said that Modi and KCR have different names but their policies are the same. The CM himself accused BRS MLAs of taking bribes from Dalits, he added. He also said that the Outer Ring Road (ORR) worth Rs1 lakh crore was for Rs7,388 crore.

AICC Incharge Manikrao Thakre expressed confidence in the Congress coming to power in Telangana. Nalgonda MP Uttam Kumar Reddy predicted that Congress would come to power in the state and said that the Karnataka election results would impact Telangana as well. He compared the results in Karnataka to a cheeky response by the people towards the BJP and drew parallels between inefficiency and corruption in both states.
