A 29-year-old woman, Sharon Nikhitha Topno, was found dead in a hotel room in Madhapur on the night of September 21, 2026. Police have taken her boyfriend, Srinivasa Ravi Teja, into custody in connection with her death.
Sharon, a private employee from Visakhapatnam, and Ravi Teja checked into Room 304 at OSLN Terminus at about 2 pm, police said. Hours later, she was found unconscious. Hotel staff helped Ravi Teja take her to Apollo Hospital in Kothaguda, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Ravi Teja left the hospital soon after and switched off his phone, according to police. Police teams traced him to his hometown near Visakhapatnam, where he had attempted suicide after Sharon’s death. He was taken to hospital for treatment before Madhapur police traced him and took him into custody.
During questioning, Ravi Teja told police that he and Sharon had both worked as delivery staff. He said they argued about marriage while drinking and that the argument turned violent. Police said they noticed small injuries on Sharon’s face.
The Clues Team examined the hotel room for evidence. Madhapur police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation into Sharon’s death.
