Tension arose at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday when some Congress leaders attempted to burn an effigy of the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) working president. This protest was in response to alleged derogatory remarks made by BRS party social media accounts.

The Congress group was led by a woman leader from the weavers’ cell. They arrived at Telangana Bhavan around 2:30 pm and tried to set the effigy on fire by pouring kerosene on it.

However, they were stopped before they could ignite the effigy. Soon after, BRS workers inside the Bhavan chased the Congress members. The BRS workers physically confronted the Congress leaders and continued to chase them all the way to the Maharaja Agrasen statue near the Bhavan.
