Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao announced on Thursday that the party will soon reveal its next steps regarding the loan waiver issue. He vowed that the fight will continue until the loan waiver is fully implemented.

During an informal interaction with the media following farmers’ protests in Chevella, KTR stressed that the struggle would persist at all levels, including in villages, until the government fulfills its promises.

“We will use all forms of protests that were used during the Telangana movement,” KTR stated. He expressed doubt that the Congress would dare to participate in local body elections without completing the loan waiver. He also criticized Congress for failing to deliver on its promise to allocate 42% of seats to Backward Classes (BCs).

KTR affirmed that the party would keep fighting for the implementation of the six guarantees. “We will not stop until we receive a clear statement from the government regarding the loan waiver. The government is misleading farmers in the name of a loan waiver,” he said.

He accused the government of spreading false information about the State’s debts. KTR pointed out that the State had a revenue surplus, highlighting that in 2014, the surplus was Rs 300 crore, and by 2023, it had grown to Rs 5,900 crore.

KTR also claimed that Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy, along with the Prime Minister, have different views on many issues. He mentioned that the BRS had already called for a Supreme Court judge to investigate Hindenburg’s report on the irregularities of Adani companies. He added that Adani had been prevented from entering the State, despite trying for 10 years.
