On Thursday, leaders from the BRS voiced concerns that farmers in Kalwakurthy were not receiving fair payments for their lands. These lands are being taken for the new alignment of the Regional Ring Road Greenfield Highway.

The leaders promised to stand with these farmers until they receive fair treatment. Farmers affected by the Regional Ring Road (RRR) changes reached out to BRS at Telangana Bhavan. A meeting was held at the party’s office there. Party leader Jaipal Yadav accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of making things difficult for farmers in the Kalwakurthy area. Yadav stated that while KCR had approved the road alignment after thorough planning, Revanth Reddy was changing it for his own benefit.

Yadav encouraged farmers to unite, saying their collective strength would force the government to reconsider. He assured them that despite being targeted, they had the backing of KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao, and should not lose hope.

Former Minister V Srinivas Goud affirmed that the BRS party would support those affected by the RRR land acquisitions. He promised to use every method to pressure the government. Goud also remarked that problems arise under Congress rule, as their leaders frequently alter the RRR plans to suit their preferences.
