Hyderabad Police Hold Review Meeting with Hotel and Lodge Owners Under North Zone

Hyderabad, November 12, 2025: A major step toward strengthening public safety and law enforcement coordination, the Hyderabad City Police convened a review meeting with hotel and lodge owners under the North Zone limits on Wednesday.

The meeting, chaired by Smt. S. Rashmi Perumal, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North Zone), was held under the directions of Sri V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City. Over 100 hotel and lodge owners and managers attended the session, along with the ACP of Gopalapuram Division and Station House Officers (SHOs) from various police stations across the zone.

The meeting focused on strict adherence to the Telangana State Public Safety Act, trade license regulations, and relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). The DCP emphasized that hotels and lodges must act as responsible stakeholders in maintaining city security and preventing misuse of their premises for illegal activities.

Key directives issued during the meeting included:

  • Maintaining daily visitor registers and submitting details to the local police station.

  • Verifying and storing valid ID proofs of all guests staying at the property.

  • Ensuring that CCTV cameras are fully functional with the required backup period.

  • Informing police authorities prior to hosting any events or gatherings.

  • Preventing illegal activities such as prostitution, drug peddling, gambling, or unauthorized events within premises.

The DCP issued a stern warning that any violation, negligence, or act compromising public safety would invite strict legal action against the management.

Speaking at the session, Smt. S. Rashmi Perumal, IPS, stated that cooperation between law enforcement and business establishments is vital for maintaining Hyderabad’s reputation as a safe and secure city. She urged hotel and lodge owners to work hand in hand with the police to create a more transparent and accountable hospitality ecosystem.

The meeting concluded with an appeal for continuous coordination between hoteliers and local police, ensuring timely sharing of information to prevent any untoward incidents in the North Zone.
