On World Cancer Day, an awareness program about cancer was held in Nirmal on Tuesday.
District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav spoke at the event and explained that World Cancer Day is observed every year on February 4. The purpose of this day is to spread awareness about cancer, promote preventive measures, and support those fighting the disease.
She mentioned that cancer is becoming more common due to changing lifestyles. After the event, the Collector visited the local health center to check the medical facilities. She spoke to doctors about the treatments available and instructed them to ensure that patients receive proper care without any difficulties.
The Collector also emphasized the importance of maintaining hospital records properly. She urged doctors to be service-oriented and provide the best treatment to patients. Additionally, she instructed all medical staff to perform their duties on time and with dedication.
The event was attended by Senior Civil Judge Radhika, Doctors Srinivas, Tehsildar Mallesh, MPDO Suresh, hospital staff, women, and other participants.
