TDP leaders in Khammam recently showed support for BRS MP candidate Nama Nageswara Rao as the Lok Sabha polls draw near. Nama visited the TDP office seeking their endorsement and was warmly received by the party’s leaders. He was honored with a shawl, indicating possible support from TDP for BRS in the region.
During his visit, Nama paid tribute to TDP founder N T Rama Rao and praised his contributions. He also mentioned his efforts to secure the Bharat Ratna for N T Rama Rao. Nama emphasized the importance of seeking support from everyone in the final stages of campaigning.
Khammam is known as a stronghold for the Congress party, and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a large public meeting in support of their candidate in the city. Despite being openly allied with BJP in Andhra Pradesh, TDP has not announced any alliances in Telangana.
The Telangana TDP has been inactive in election activities since November 2023, leading to speculation about a potential alliance with BJP. However, no such partnership has been confirmed by either party.
