Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu recently visited Tirumala and emphasized the importance of maintaining the sanctity of the holy site. He stated that Tirumala should not be used for political purposes and called for efforts to ensure a peaceful and respectful environment for devotees.

Naidu expressed concern over incidents in the past five years that he believed compromised the sacredness of Tirumala. He highlighted issues such as the presence of drugs, alcohol, and non-vegetarian food on the hills, as well as a decline in the quality of food served there. Naidu emphasized the need for the hills to echo with spiritual chants rather than political slogans.

During his visit, Naidu objected to the presence of barriers and curtains around the guest house where he stayed, stating his desire to remain accessible to the public. He emphasized his commitment to being close to the people and avoiding unnecessary restrictions during his visits.
