Cherlapalli Railway Station in Hyderabad is almost finished with construction

The development works for Cherlapalli Railway Station in Hyderabad are progressing quickly and expected to be completed in the next few weeks. The station is being developed as another terminal station to meet the growing needs of the city.

The station is being upgraded with new infrastructure and passenger amenities at a cost of around Rs 430 crore. This includes a new station building with modern architecture, six booking counters, separate waiting halls for men and women, an upper-class waiting area, and an executive lounge on the ground floor.

On the first floor, there will be a cafeteria, restaurant, and restroom facilities for both men and women. The station will also have spacious concourse areas, modern lighting, and four additional high-level platforms. The existing five platforms are also being extended to accommodate full-length trains.

Two new foot overbridges will be built to facilitate movement between platforms. The station will have escalators and lifts on all nine platforms, as well as coach maintenance facilities for starting trains. Other features include parking for vehicles, bus bays, coach and train indication boards, CCTV surveillance, public announcement systems on all platforms, and more.
