Dr G Ranjith Reddy, Congress candidate for Chevella constituency, emphasized the party’s commitment to recognizing and supporting all sections of society, including the disabled. He assured that under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, the disabled would receive their fair share and that all promises in the manifesto would be fulfilled.

Speaking at a meeting of PCC’s Disability Cell in Chevella constituency, Ranjith Reddy outlined some key points from the Congress manifesto. He mentioned plans to expand constitutional provisions to prevent discrimination based on disability, recognize braille script and sign language as languages, establish a National Centre of Research and Excellence for Special Education, and provide representation for persons with disabilities in local government bodies.

The event was attended by Veeraiah Muttineni, chairman of TPCC Disabled Cell, and presided over by V Narsimha Chary, State General Secretary of the Cell. The Congress’s commitment to enforcing the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, and implementing schemes for assisted living and care centers for the disabled in public-private partnerships was also highlighted during the meeting.
