Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Urges Formation of BC Commission

Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has emphasized the need to take proper precautions to avoid legal problems related to Backward Class (BC) reservations in local bodies. He instructed officials to quickly set up a Dedicated BC Commission.

During a meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence, Revanth Reddy discussed important legal issues with ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Damodara Rajanarsimha, and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud. The conversation focused on the legal aspects of caste enumeration. The Chief Minister referred to recent rulings by the Supreme Court and the High Court, highlighting the need to follow these judgments to avoid legal challenges in the future.

With a social, economic, educational, employment, and caste survey scheduled to begin on the 6th of this month, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of adhering to court orders. He directed officials to ensure that the necessary orders for establishing the BC Commission be issued by tomorrow.

Revanth Reddy also made it clear that the government would not tolerate any negligence in handling critical matters. He called for transparency in managing local body reservations and expressed confidence that these steps would make the reservation process smoother and prevent future problems.
