Hyderabad residents brought forward 203 complaints during Monday’s public hearing program organized by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). The Prajavani initiative took place at the main GHMC office and regional circle offices across the city.
Citizens raised concerns about multiple civic problems during the session. They submitted requests related to town planning, sanitation services, engineering works, land acquisition, and various other municipal matters affecting their daily lives.
The main GHMC headquarters recorded 75 complaints from residents. The remaining 128 applications came from citizens visiting the corporation’s six zonal offices throughout the city.
Kukatpally zone led with the highest number of complaints, receiving 52 applications from local residents. LB Nagar zone followed with 31 complaints, while Secunderabad zone recorded 22 issues. Serilingampally and Charminar zones each received 10 complaints, and Khairtabad zone had the lowest count with just 3 applications.
GHMC officials immediately transferred all received complaints to the appropriate departments for action. This quick response system ensures faster resolution of citizen concerns across different municipal services.
Senior municipal officers emphasized their commitment to citizen satisfaction. They instructed department heads to handle all raised issues with complete accountability and transparency.
The leadership stressed the importance of solving public problems without unnecessary delays. They want department officials to work diligently on addressing each complaint submitted by Hyderabad residents.
Additional Commissioners Raghu Prasad, Subhadra Devi, Venugopal, and Satyanarayana attended the session. Chief Engineer Sahadev Ratnakar and other senior municipal officers were also present during the public hearing program.
