Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy recently shared Telangana’s financial struggles with Prof. S Mahendra Dev, the Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister. He urgently requested help for the state’s financial challenges.
During their meeting in Hyderabad on Saturday, Revanth Reddy expressed his concerns about the heavy interest rates on loans taken by past administrations. He highlighted the difficulty in repaying these loans, which hampers developmental projects. The Chief Minister informed the Chairman that nearly all the state’s income is spent on loan repayments, straining the state’s budget.
Revanth Reddy stressed the importance of mutual respect between the Union and State Governments within the federal system. He pointed out that national progress depends on the development of individual states and shared updates on Telangana’s rapid growth.
He also detailed efforts to improve infrastructure in urban areas like Hyderabad. Initiatives to provide skill development and enhance job opportunities for youth were discussed. Plans for industrial growth and boosting the service sector were also on the agenda.
The Chief Minister emphasized the significance of building the Regional Ring Road around Hyderabad and connecting it with radial roads.
