    Hyderabad:

    Phani Karra and Greg Walsh of Walsh Karra Holdings, a US-based investment firm, have signed an MoU to invest 5 million US dollars in WE Hub over the next five years. WE Hub is India’s first state-led organization for women’s entrepreneurship, and its CEO, Sita Pallacholla, was also present for the signing.

    The MoU was signed in New York during an official visit by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Minister of IT E&C, I&C, and LA, D. Sridhar Babu. The visit aimed to explore new partnerships and investments for the state.

    Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of women entrepreneurship, saying, “Women entrepreneurship will liberate our society and unleash the truest potential of Telangana. No society can achieve its fullest potential without enabling and empowering women.”

    Greg Walsh mentioned that over the next five years, Walsh Karra Holdings will invest an additional 100 million US dollars in start-ups within the Telangana ecosystem. This includes start-ups incubated at WE Hub and others, aiming to support both urban and rural Telangana.

    Walsh Karra Holdings is co-founded by seasoned global entrepreneurs and investors Greg Walsh and Phani Karra. Operating out of the United States and Singapore, the firm focuses on finding and developing new investment opportunities for a sustainable economy.

    Phani Karra expressed his gratitude to India and Hyderabad, saying, “I studied at Osmania University and started my career in Hyderabad, which propelled me to succeed on the international stage. The gratitude I feel to India and Hyderabad made me look for ways to give back. With this partnership, we have found a reliable agency to ensure our investments make a positive impact in India.”
