The new Congress government in Hyderabad is facing a major challenge of mobilizing funds to meet the growing economic needs and implement the promises it made during the elections, according to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. He attributed the current financial situation to the misuse of funds and corruption during the previous government’s rule. The Chief Minister made these remarks while launching the Praja Palana applications at the Secretariat. The government is now taking corrective measures to streamline the state economy and plans to use internal and central funds judiciously. There will also be a judicial probe into alleged irregularities in various projects. It has come to light that former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao purchased expensive vehicles before the elections, which highlights the misuse of public money. The current government aims to recover alleged corrupt money from KCR and his family.
