Wanaparthy District: The state’s Chief Electoral Officer, C. Sudarshan Reddy, has emphasized the need for thorough planning for a Special Intensive Revision across all districts, following guidelines from the Central Election Commission.
On Monday afternoon, Reddy communicated via video call with Collectors, Additional Collectors, RDOs, and Tahsildars about organizing this revision.
He advised conducting a pre-revision before the Special Intensive Revision begins. Quick preparation is crucial once instructions arrive from the Central Election Commission. It’s essential to fill all positions like Booth Level Officers, Supervisors, E.R.O.s, and A.E.R.O.s promptly.
A similar intensive revision was conducted in 2002. Reddy recommended comparing the 2002 data with the upcoming 2025 Special Summary Revision data. Districts, constituencies, and polling stations from 2002 should be aligned and updated accordingly.
District Collector Adarsh Surabhi assured that all necessary steps would be taken for efficient management of the Special Intensive Revision in Wanaparthy constituency. He mentioned that data from 2002, including part numbers and names, will be prepared, and information on voters over the age of 40 will be gathered.
Additional Collector Revenue N Kheemya Nayak, RDO Subramaniam, local Tehsildar Ramesh Reddy, and Section Superintendent Madan Mohan were also part of the video conference.
