    District Collector VP Gautham inaugurated the Mahalaxmi and Arogyashree Scheme in Khammam on Saturday. He praised the Rajiv Arogyashri Scheme as a great help for the underprivileged. The Collector opened the enhanced Rajiv Arogyashri medical aid scheme at the Government Main Hospital and encouraged people to take advantage of the Rs 10 lakh benefit.

    During his speech, the Collector expressed his satisfaction with the government’s introduction of two new schemes for public welfare. He emphasized the Mahalakshmi scheme, which aims to empower women.

    The Collector also highlighted that the maximum limit for Rajiv Arogyashri has been raised from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh, which is a significant improvement. The revamped scheme will cover 1672 types of diseases, including 1383 surgeries and 289 medical disorders.
