The Congress accused the BJP of making up lies and causing division after their victory in the Karnataka state elections. The Congress won with a comfortable majority, which was a big morale boost for them. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh tweeted that the BJP couldn’t accept the result and were making up lies. He said that the BJP was inspired by the Prime Minister’s politics of hate and polarization. His comments came after Amit Malviya, who leads the BJP’s IT department, tweeted videos that he claimed showed provocative slogans and a flag with a crescent moon and star. Malviya accused the Congress of appeasement and said it would damage social unity.
