Hyderabad: Congress spokesperson Bandi Sudhakar Goud has accused both the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) and BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) of trying to gain political benefits from the Musi river issue. He called for the Opposition to clarify their stance on illegal encroachments on water bodies.

Sudhakar Goud specifically warned former ministers T. Harish Rao and Eatala Rajender about the possible consequences of their statements on environmental matters. He said their comments could be seen as contempt of court.

The Congress leader pointed out several Supreme Court cases related to construction activities in areas like Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zones. He urged the courts to take action on their own against what he described as misleading statements from BRS and BJP leaders. According to him, such statements harm the development of cities like Hyderabad.
