Former MLC Akula Lalitha’s farewell to the BRS is a big setback for the ruling party in Nizamabad district. She has also resigned as the chairperson of the Telangana State Women’s Cooperative Development Corporation Limited. Lalitha expressed her dissatisfaction with the MLAs who are dominating the district and neglecting MLCs, ZPTCs, MPTCs, and Sarpanches. It is rumored that Lalitha’s husband, Raghavender, is in contact with the Congress leadership. She is likely to rejoin the Congress and run for the Nizamabad Urban Assembly seat.
