Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), strongly criticized the ruling Congress party in Telangana on Friday. He responded to a recent statement made by Forest Minister Konda Surekha, who suggested that the state government operates as a “commission sarkaar.”

Rama Rao, also known as KTR, sarcastically praised the minister for “finally speaking the truth.” He said her remarks confirmed what many people in Telangana already believe — that corruption is deeply rooted in the current government.

“Congratulations to Minister Konda Surekha for admitting the obvious,” said KTR. “It’s no longer a secret — this is a 30% commission government. Even other ministers now say files won’t move unless there’s a big payoff involved.”

He also pointed out that the issue has become so severe that contractors protested inside the state Secretariat, accusing the government of demanding bribes for approvals and clearances. According to KTR, this open display of corruption shows how far the situation has deteriorated under the Congress leadership.

The BRS leader used the opportunity to question the credibility and integrity of the Congress administration. He claimed that the people of Telangana deserve a clean and transparent government, not one mired in scams and backdoor deals.

This exchange highlights growing political tension in the state, especially as leaders from both parties ramp up their attacks ahead of upcoming elections.
