The latest Lokpoll survey has sent ripples through the political landscape of Telangana, predicting a significant victory for the Congress party in the upcoming 2023 elections. In contrast, the ruling Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is expected to face a formidable challenge, with projections ranging between 36 to 39 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is forecasted to secure 2 to 3 seats, while the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is likely to retain 5 to 6 seats, maintaining its political foothold.

Contrastingly, the BRS is projected to secure approximately 38-41% of the vote share. The BJP may capture around 7-10% of the votes, while AIMIM is expected to secure 4-6% of the total vote share.

The survey findings indicate a shifting political dynamic, with Congress gaining momentum and positioning itself as a formidable force in comparison to the 2014 and 2018 elections. In 2014, BRS claimed 63 out of 119 constituency seats, while Congress secured 21, AIMIM captured 7, and BJP held 5 seats. The 2018 elections witnessed a significant increase for BRS, securing 88 seats, while Congress retained 19 seats, AIMIM maintained 7, and BJP secured just 1 seat.
