    Jaffar Hussain Meraj is a three-time MLA who started his political career in AIMIM. He first became a corporator in 2009 and later served as the Deputy Mayor of GHMC. Jaffar Hussain was born on January 26, 1960, and comes from a political family.

    He was inspired by his father, former MLA Ahmed Hussain, to pursue a career in politics. In addition to his political work, Jaffar Hussain also runs his family business. He has the highest assets among AIMIM MLAs-elect, with over Rs 33 crore to his name.

    Jaffar Hussain credits his success to his hard work and close relationship with party leader Asaduddin Owaisi. He won his first MLA seat from Tolichowki division in 2009 and later became the Deputy Mayor of Hyderabad. In 2014, he won the Nampally seat, holding off competition from his rivals.

    Jaffar Hussain has been elected as the MLA from Nampally twice, defeating his opponent by significant margins both times. Recently, he won the Yakutpura seat narrowly, securing victory by just 878 votes against MBT’s Amjedullah Khan.
