Cyberabad police have asked arms licence holders to deposit their weapons before the Lok Sabha elections on May 13, 2024. The deadline for depositing weapons is March 23. Failure to comply will result in legal action.

The notification issued by the Cyberabad police Commissionerate gives the Licencing Authority the power to order the deposit of weapons at police stations. The weapons can be reclaimed by licence holders after June 7, 2024, once the elections are over.
