Cybercriminals Use Hyderabad CP’s Photo for Scams
VC Sajjanar, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner, has alerted the public to a scam involving his photo. Cybercriminals are using his image as a WhatsApp display picture to deceive people into sending them money. These fraudsters message individuals known to the commissioner, pretending to be him and requesting funds.
Upon learning of this, Commissioner Sajjanar advised the public not to trust any messages featuring his photo as they are fake accounts. He urged people to block such numbers immediately and report them to the cybercrime police. He emphasized not to send money if asked and to report fake WhatsApp accounts by calling 1930.
