Delhi Capitals batter Rilee Rossouw said that the team was determined to win their game against Punjab Kings after their previous victory. Rossouw scored 82 runs off 37 balls, leading his team to their highest score of the season, 213/2. Rossouw said that his role was to maintain momentum and execute his natural game from the first ball. He also mentioned that the team was confident and effectively targeted the spinners.
DC’s opening duo, David Warner and Prithvi Shaw, put on 94 runs on the board before Warner was dismissed by Sam Curran. Shaw completed his fifty but was also sent back to the pavilion by Curran. Rossouw then took over and scored his first half-century of the season in just 25 balls. He finished with an unbeaten 82 off just 37 balls.
Rossouw spoke at the post-match press conference, saying that the wicket was good to bat on, and the team capitalized on favorable matchups, targeting the spinners. He said that they came out with confidence that they wanted to win the game.
